Mrs Arable is increasingly concerned about Fern’s time spent in the barn cellar. Do you agree that it is a problem, or not? Explain why.
Dr Dorian advises that Fern will always love animals and that Fern would become better friends with Henry Fussy. Do you have any suggestions that may lead to Fern spending less time in the barn?
In Chapter 13, ‘Good Progress,’ Fern tells her mother all about the events that have happened in the Zuckerman’s barn. Mrs Arable thinks that these are part of Fern’s imagination.
* Can things that come from the imagination be real or true or are they always fictional?

Yes, things can become real from your imagination because if you imagine you win a game and you imagined it that would mean it was true

I believe sometimes imagination can come true like when someone dreamed of a lost child somewhere and there was a child lost over there.
I think Fern should be in the barn because it is very good to learn about animals so i think Fern should spend more time in the barn cellar than with Henry Fussy.

I think it is not a problen that Ferm sends to much time in the barn seller because she has a lot of frends and wile she is there she loves to woch the anemils

I think that Fern should not spend time in the barn because when she spend a lot of time in the barn. Her mum might have called her to come in and she couldn’t hear her mum. I believe that Fern should be spending less time so she has more time helping her mum doing the house work around the house.

I think Fern should NOT be spending so much time in the barn because Wilbur has a friend and he needs to spend more time with the friend then Fern.Also she would NOT have time for her homework and she would NOT make new friends.

I think Fern should be spending time with Willur because it’s nice to keep a friend commpay Fern should stay with Willbur because it dosen’t matter if she spends time with Willbur.

I don’t think its a problem that Fern is spending time at the barn.I think the only thing that will keep Fern away from the barn is if something bad happens to Wilbur.

I think that Fern spending lots of time in the barn isn’t unsual.No-one can control her.So I think that it isn’t a problem.
Her mother could take Fern to her favourite place to take her mind off things.

i think that Fern spending lots of time in the barn isn’t weird mabye she thinks that the animals talk mabye people just don’t know about it if you sometimes dream about things they could come true like i’m wishing red will win so i have to wait and see and lots of people have

I think that mirs Arable shouldn’t worry about fern going to see Willba every because fern is just wanting to care for Willba

I think Fern should not spend alot of time in the barn because Wilber already has a friend and Homer can take care of him. Also it’s not lady like to spen half of your life in a barn every day and that you are not the boss of your mum and Fern could hear her mum but anyway she still did not come out of the barn.

I think that Fern should spend time at Mr Zuckerman’s barn because Wilbur could think that Fern doesn’t like him and Wilbur might run away.

I think Fern spending time with the animals is not a problem because alot of people like to spend time with animals. Fern can be stopped by going to the barn if her teacher gave her extra homework or has to do housework.

I don’t agree it is a problem because if Fern likes it and the doctor says it’s fine, Mrs Arable should not be worried.
I suggest Fern should just go to the park or something, and that might stop her from spending SO much time in the barn cellar.
I personaly think your imagination can come true, for instance you imagine that one day you’ll be a….. teacher, maybe? Well, that could be true.

I don’t think that it is okay to stay in the barn for too long because Fern might not get much exersise and it is not healthy.I think imagination is not real because it is all in the mind and it can’t turn real.

I think that Fern should stay listening to the animals in the barn because they are her only friends and Wilbur loves it when Fern is around.I also thinkthat imagination can be true.

I think Fern should spend more time in the barn because Wilbur is in there and Wilbur is her life like, she raised Wilbur and saved his life.

I think Fern can spend as much time in the barn as she wants because Fern loves animals so much that she might even grow up to love animals.
She could help her mum clean around the house, she could play some games with her brother or do extra homework.

I think that there is no problem for Fern to stay in the barn as long as she likes because it use to be her pig and one way Fern can’t spend a long time in the barn is if Wilbur is no longer in the barn.

I know that Fern should spend time in the barn so she can play with them because she cant have any friends over but not all the timeso she can play with her brother.I dont hav any suggestions but if she cant find a friend she should send more time in the barn.

I disagree with Mr Arable because Fern should do what she wants and I think it’s good that she likes animals. I think for a kid to like animals is good.I feel maybe a solution to the problem is Wilbur is brought back to Fern’s house.

I think Fern shold stay at the barn because Wilbur will need help and Wilbur could get hurt very badley and she could get really really anoyed from all them animals talking very loud and she could of got death and Wilbur needed Fern so badley and so much.

No, I think that it is not a problem because she is having so much fun with her friends in the barn that she forgets about everything.
She should make more new friends. She could travel around the world, get a job and earn money.

I Strongly belive that because Fern is young, she should spend her time in the barn because it’s normal for a child to be so obssesed with animals that you don’t see every-day.Besides shes only like,7 or 6!
***************************Extend*************************I think things that you imagne ( like Fern in the Zuckermans farm) can come to life like some people have an imagenary friend which is normal because most kids are lonely if they don’t have a brother or sister & a backyard.

I think someone has to stay in the barn full-time so Wilbur does’nt run away and Fern would be the best pick.
