Literature Study August 30, 2009Growth and Change
As we have continued reading Charlotte’s Web, we have noticed some changes that are happening to the characters. Discuss some of the changes that you have noticed.
* In the chapter ‘Miracles’ (Chapter 11), the minister states,
“. . . human beings must always be on the watch for the coming of wonders.” (p.112).
Do you believe this statement to be true? Should people always be expecting miracles or unexpected things to happen? Why or why not?

No,I don’t think that people should think about miracles because you ever know when they will or will not happen.

I believe that people should be on a watch for miracles because miracles are normally good things that will happen like someone who is a bloke suddenly became a millionaire.It was a miracle when the people suddenly thought of not killing Wilbur when they thought of killing Wilbur.That was was a good thing.

Wilbur has changed because he thought about spinning a web and that he never thought about before.

No because miracles ocasionally happen every year so it doesn’t happen very much so it doesn’t really occur all the time.

I think humumans should belive in miracles because you dont know what will happen in the future and it saved Wilburs life and that was a miracle.

I Strongly Believe everyone should always look out for miracle because it does goood things for people like make someone who’s very poor and becaomes very rich. It was a very good thing when they changed they mind of not killing Wilbur.

The changes that have happened in Charlottes Web is that Wilbur didn’t want to die but Charlotte is thinking of a plan to save Wilbur.Also Wilbur wanted to spin a web so he asked Templeton to have a piece of string.When Wilbur saw the string it look dirty.

The changes that have happend during the Charlotte’s Web is that goose had seven eggs and then they hatched into goslings. What also happend is Wilbur got more fatter by eating too much in his trough. Wilbur is also afraid to die at Christmas but now he’s not worried any more because Charlotte is going to figure a plan out.

I think people shouldn’t belive in miracles because they are sometimes tricks to fool you.I also think people should belive in miracles because sometimes they are there to warn you or do something good.

Well,it depends on what the miracle is doing.If it’s an emergency then you might expect miracles but if it’s for like getting the latest game,then you shouldn’t expect miracles.

I think people should’nt exspect miracles to happen because it is only a 50 50 chane that it will be one

Changes:
Wilbur is getting less worried about his death, Charlotte is getting more ideas, and Mr Zukimin doesn’t seem to want to kill Wilbur anymore.
Yes I do think people should believe in miracles because NOTHING is impossible and miracles seem IMPOSSIBLE..

I agree that one of the changes are Wilbur used to be scared of death but now he’s not scared beacause he thinks Charlotte is going to save him from dying.

Wilbur has changed because when he was young he was skinny and now he is fat.The goose has changed because before the goose had eggs and now she has goslings.

Wilbur changed when changed from skinny to fat and the goose use to have eggs too. Now she has goslings.

Changes I have Noticed in Charlotte’s Web|E.B. White
1.I’ve noticed that Wilbur hasn’t missed Fern so much like he loved her when he lived with her.
2.Without Charlotte, Wilbur was probably a bit lonely without Charlotte but now Charlotte is here Wilbur has someone to talk to.
3.When Wlibur was born he was a runt, which ment he was weak & skinny but now he is getting fatter & fatter & FATTER!
4.Before you didn’t hear much about Fern visiting the Zuckerman’s farm but now you……occasinally hear about it.

I think people should believe in miracles for the following reasons:
1.People LOVE surprises and so miracles & unexpected things are surprises so let it be a surprise.
2.When unexpected things happen it’s a wonderful life experience to keep in your memories forever.

I think we should believe in miracles because it is never is a bad thing and always help the person who needs the miracle to happen.

Before he didn’t have any friends and now he met Charlotte and another thing is that Wilbur is getting fatter and fatter.

One thing is that when he didn’t have friends now that he met charlotte he made friends with charlotte. Now that he made friends with charlotte he made friends with the other anmals.

Wilbur has grown and he is experiencing new things.He has also tried different things.

We noticed that:
1.In chapter elven Fern has not visted Wilbur in a long time.
2.Mr Zuckerman has been wearing a suit instead of normal cloths.
Also we think that miracles can happen because you never know what life will throw at you.
